WE CARE CENTER
WHAT WE ARE ABOUT
The We Care Center is an outreach of Christian Life Church and is located in downtown Rantoul at 123 ½ N. Garrard St. Our purpose is to help people through a short-term crisis with food, clothing, and encouraging words from the Lord.
The staff at We Care will be glad to sit down with you and your family to assess your current need. It will be determined what kind and how much help your family will need. The We Care Center can provide not only food and clothing, but also a listening ear, prayer, and wisdom from God’s Word to assist you.
Did you know that we have given out over 328,575 pieces of food and 21,475 items of clothing since we opened our doors in September of 1992?

MISSION STATEMENT
To show the love of Jesus Christ to those in current need of food and/or clothing by providing for them an emergency assistance that will see them through their crisis.
“What I’m interested in seeing you do is: sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad, being available to your own families. Do this and the lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once. Your righteousness will pave your way. The God of glory will secure your passage. Then you will pray, God will answer. You’ll call out for help and I’ll say, “Here I Am.” Isaiah 58:10-11 (Msg)
FUNDING
It would be wonderful if everything we needed or desired would be provided to us at no cost. However, everything that exists usually cost somebody something at sometime or another. So it is with the We Care Center and the food, clothing, facilities, utilities, and working salaries.
The majority of those expenses at the We Care Center are funded by Christian Life Church. This income is generated from special offerings, donations of food, clothing, and various fundraisers. Also, outside businesses often donate to the Center as a blessing to the community.
